Last
June 24, 2014, we had our third meeting in our Technopreneurship 1
subject at the IC Lab 1. Well, in order to come at our class on time, I
really did try my very best to wake up early and I even did not able to
finished my breakfast because I’m in a hurry and I’m afraid that I will
be late in our class. Before going to school, it is my
every day task to drop-off my two cousins to their school, so whenever I
have class during morning schedules, I find it hard to wake up early
simply because I’m a kind of person that loves to sleep a lot and a kind
of lazy a bit (hihi).
This blog talks about my learning and expectations in our FTS (Field Trip and Seminars) and Technopreneurship 1 :)

How to Propel the Economy of Davao City
9 dots - Reflection
Last June 17, we had our second meeting in our
Technopreneurship 1 class at the IC Lab 1. Part of our meeting, which I
will be focusing on, was the 9 dots, in which we were given the enough
time to solve this activity. It was just a simple activity.. well I
admit at first it’s just simple but honestly speaking I did not solve
it, simply because I find it hard and I did not exert much effort for
it. Our activity was to connect the 9 dots with just 4 strokes and take
note, without lifting our pens up. I thought it was just simple but
after how many tries, I guess I’d got until 5 tries and I’d just give it
up, because still, I just cannot solve it. I can proudly say that it is
a fun activity and I admit I find it entertaining and interesting one.
It’s a kind of activity that you wouldn’t want to forget because you’ve
learned a lot from it and you want to share it to others and might as
well use this to test them.
Pirates of Silicon Valley - Reflection
1. What are the factors that contributed to the success and failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur?
The
movie, “Pirates of Silicon Valley” was a film based on a historical
fact regarding on Steve Jobs and how Apple got started and also about
Bill Gates and how Microsoft got started. The movie then proceeds to
narrate the events that led to the development of the first Apple
computer. The movie is called Pirates of Silicon Valley because it is
about piracy in the computer world and Silicon Valley is a place in
California where computers are built. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs
performed many unethical actions during the beginnings of Microsoft and
Apple. Steve Jobs is now known as one of the famous technopreneur in the
world of business. Furthermore, he already attained his success but
with his attitude problem this brought him to a failure one. But as
years passed by, the Apple Company decided to give him another chance to
continue his visions and to develop more new technologies.
3 Idiots - Reflection
The
movie 3 Idiots was truly an amazing story. It is a story with the element of
fun and drama combined with wonderful twists and turns, which were really
amazing and wonderfully tied that you would never noticed that it was actually
a quite long movie. In addition, it is a comedy, no doubt, spiced up with a bit
of romance, well-timed jokes, catchy music and a tragic scene. You would never
want to miss what would happen next as you go along the way. The feeling of
excitement of what’s going to happen continually grows as scenes to scenes goes
by. The twists and turns truly make this movie a wonderful piece of a great
story. But more than the comedy and drama which was wonderfully combined, what
is more impressive to me is it had made me love this movie and I’m sure that
would probably make you too, are the lessons within the story. I have
watched this movie three times already and yet from time to time it is still
feels good to watch it all over again. However, what makes the movie deep and
meaningful is the theme. It actually questions the education system, which
turns out thousands of fact-memorizing robots who gobble information mindlessly
without thinking or questioning. No doubt this was the best movie for me that
I’ve ever seen.
